Title: Great place to meet new people and enjoy communal events
For families with children, my kids wished there were more activities specifically tailored to their age group.

I had a great stay at this hotel. The manager was really cute and helpful, and the staff made me feel comfortable and at ease. The facilities were complete and clean, and the common room was a great place to relax. The atmosphere was homely and friendly, and I enjoyed meeting the long-term guests who were like a family. The hotel also provided free bikes, which although not great, allowed me to explore the local vineyards for free. I found the cleanliness, hotel facilities, staff, and the comfortable wooden deck and garden to be great.
One small downside was that the hotel was not obvious to find. I had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this place.

As a senior woman, I really appreciated the charming and cozy atmosphere of Jack's Backpackers. The old Victorian house with its high ceilings and spacious living areas reminded me of a bygone era. The common areas were well-decorated and the garden was expansive, providing a peaceful setting for relaxation. Additionally, the hotel's central location made it easily accessible for seniors like myself, allowing me to conveniently explore the nearby CBD and vineyards.
It would have been even more enjoyable if there were more amenities tailored towards senior guests.

Loved the central location of this place, it was right in the heart of town and made it so convenient for exploring. the free bikes that were available for use were a great bonus, we had so much fun riding around and exploring the area. the spacious private room we stayed in was clean and comfortable, perfect for a romantic getaway.
One major downside was that there were no clear signs or directions to the entrance, causing some confusion upon arrival. the lack of proper maintenance and cleaning standards was also disappointing, with creaky beds, doors that didn't shut properly, and dirty shower facilities.

Pro: The value for money at this hotel was excellent - I got a comfortable bed, blacked out curtains, and reliable WiFi. The location was great, within walking distance of the CBD and vineyards. The staff, especially Lawrelle and her family, treated me like family and attended to any issues quickly and efficiently.

The manager was absolutely amazing, so friendly and helpful. The free bikes were a super cool touch, even though they weren't the best, they got us to the vineyards for free! The beds were so comfy and the curtains blocked out the street lights really well. The free WiFi was good, although everyone was on their phones, it was still a great perk. The place itself was beautiful, with a comfy common area, huge garden, and well-equipped facilities. The rooms were big and clean, and the whole place had a great vibe. Plus, the private parking was a nice bonus. Definitely a great place to meet other travelers. And the best part? They had Wi-Fi, a shared kitchen, laundry facilities, a leisure/TV room, table tennis. Oh, and if you were wondering, there were no pets allowed and the rooms were non-smoking.

Had so much fun playing table tennis and enjoying the sun terrace at the hostel. Met some interesting backpackers, but sadly I couldn't get their life stories.
Such a shame that the entrance was so invisible. It was like trying to find a secret club, without the cool factor.
